Tutorial: Home Sweet Home (with Embroidery and Applique)

I would like to share a project that I have just finished.

It's a simple home decor piece, you can frame it and hang it on the wall, or even use it as part of other sewing projects, like tote bag, cushion cover, etc.

This is a simple project which I believe also fits for beginners in either sewing or embroidery, so here I share the tutorial and pattern, do check it out:

Etsy Listing Update: iPad Case - Vintage Style

I always love vintage and retro style stuff and I was so thrilled when I saw a set of corduroy fabrics that to me looked very vintage, and maybe somewhat Victorian.

And so I decided to make iPad cases, and the finished sets are just beautiful!

What do you think?

I've just added them to the listing in my Etsy shop, do check it out! :-)

Indonesian Batik Wristlets and Bag

On my last trip back to my hometown, I brought back few beautiful batiks and so I made 2 wristlets and a simple sling bag.

Aren't they just beautiful?
I totally love the black-maroon-white batik fabric, it is just simply elegant. The red one is vibrant, and the brown-blue batik is just so exotic. I got them in a fabric store near my house and I spent almost an hour in a store with no air-con in a one hot day, I was sweating like crazy! But it was not for nothing, I simply love, love, love them!

Anyway, there are available in my Etsy shop. So do come visit!

Tutorial: 4 Seasons Pin Cushion with Embroidery

It's time for free tutorial and pattern!

I had an idea of creating a set of pin cushions (what's with me and set of this and that?!?), and the first thing that went to my mind was 4 seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Spring - Flower
Summer - Sun
Autumn - Maple leaf
Winter - Snowflake
Aren't they cute??
Their size is 9.5 cm x 6 cm, and they are ready in my Etsy shop.

My initial idea for my shop at Etsy was to offer simple pouches with unique design, but then the idea keeps on growing and I made different kinds of products, such as wristlets or sling bag, and I am pretty sure there will be many more new ideas coming as my mind hasn't stopped thinking of things I want to add to my shop!

So for now, here are my ready-stock pouch sets:
